To import contracts from a CSV file, you need to log on Tools/Server Manager in Protrader 2 client.(Usually you will automatically log on your Backoffice window)

After that you need to choose on which instrument group you want to import contracts data(remember that on this group must be enabled Futures).

Next you need to select the parameters that are in your CSV file, select routes and select the field separator.

The parametrs are:

  • Name - name of contract.
  • Tickersymbol that is followed by symbols for the contract month and the year.
  • Contract month\Contract - can be in form "yyyymm"\or input with special symbol. Example: CLX14 is a Crude Oil (CL), November (X) 2014 (14) contract
  • Exp date - date of expiration of the contract.
  • Last trade - the last trading date.
  • First trade - the first trading date.
  • Notice date - the date after which an investor who has purchased a futures contract may be required to take physical delivery of the contract's underlying commodity.
  • Continious contract - a contract of employment is an agreement on the employment conditions made between an employer and an employee.

If the file is parsed correctly, you will see the first few lines of your data to be imported.

Than click on Import, and wait when contracts data will loaded.

In attach you can see the contracts data that used in tutorial.
